Hopefully the questions and responses below will clarify any issues you may have when considering your break at Gites de Camors

General questions
Send us a message through our website, or email us and we will contact you within 12 hours. You can then liaise directly with us and book, if you choose to.
Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for our cancellation policy. We understand that people’s circumstances can change and we would always aim to be sympathetic to unforeseen problems.
By Bank Transfer. We have a French and an English bank account. Receipts are issued for every payment made.
The price quoted is all-inclusive of Gas, Electricity, Water, etc. Cleaning is included in the price of your holiday – so we therefore ask you to leave the property in the state you found it. We reserve the right to retain a portion of the security deposit if it is left in an unfit state. There are additional charges for Extra services such as the Bread run, Babysitting, fresh eggs, towel hire etc.
As we live on-site we will always be available to greet you and help you settle into your new “Home!”.
No problem – we live on-site so are happy to wait up for you. We’ll give you our English mobile so you can keep us updated and we know when to put the kettle on!.
We have 4 travel cots and bedding, 3 high chairs, baby cutlery and crockery. We have potties, a baby bath, and some baby toys. We have a paddling pool too. As a former primary school teacher Tamsin is always on hand to “help out” with cuddles!.
All our Gites have free off road parking.
Normal arrival time is after 4pm, but if you want to arrive earlier please ask and if we can accommodate your request we certainly will.
All bed linen, Tea towels and hand towels are provided. We ask you to bring your own personal towels and pool/beach towels. We do have a limited supply available for a small charge.
There is a small supermarket in our local village of Camors (3km), and in Baud (7km) there are 3 large supermarkets and a wealth of other shops.
Loads! Our personal favourites are Le Coin de Feu, Flamambos and Le Cheval Blanc. All within 7/10km of us. We also offer a taxi service to local restaurants so you can sample the local Ciders or fantastic French wines.
There are numerous stunning beaches close by…from the popular beaches in Carnac and Quiberon to the quiet beaches of Erdeven and Etel. All are are around 40 minutes drive away.
You can hire bikes from the Utopia Adventure park in Camors and the Canoe and Kayak centre in Baud. Both places offer cycle routes.
As mentioned above, there is a High ropes course, suitable for all ages and bike hire in Camors. There is a Canoeing and Kayaking centre in Baud on the beautiful river Blavet. Kingoland is a theme park well worth a visit! Many beaches offer watersport activities. There are karting centres, bowling and laser quest, an aquarium etc…..there really is something for everyone and we are happy to advise you where we can.
As we are in a rural setting a car is essential for you to get the most out of this beautiful region.
This depends on your location. Brittany Ferries offer regular crossings from Portsmouth to St Malo or Caen, Plymouth to Roscoff, plus there is also the Tunnel, however this means a longer drive at this end – not a great hardship as the roads over here are so good! Some guests from further up the country (ie. Scotland) have chosen to fly to either Dinard, Rennes or Nantes and hire a car.
There are no toll roads in Brittany, but there are in the rest of France, so this is worth remembering if you come via the Tunnel.
We have a local English speaking doctor and Pharmacist (also medically trained) in Camors. The nearest hospital is in Pontivy, and we would always be available to translate for you if necessary.
